The Morgan
dollar is one of the most widely collected American coins. The
Morgan dollar series was introduced in 1878 and minted continuously
until 1904, and again in 1921. Morgan dollars were generally minted
in large quantities. However, there are some with very low mintages
or that saw heavy circulation and are tougher to find in higher
grades. Nonetheless, that is part of what makes this legendary coin
series one of the most popular. The series provides something for
all budgets.
